The UAMS CardioVascular Center (UCVC) serves as a hub for cross disciplinary endeavors in cardiology, imaging, pharmacy, pediatrics, pharmacology, toxicology, distance health, and community outreach. Here clinicians and researchers combine efforts to improve patient health through communication, collaboration, and innovation.
The UCVC Mission is to identify and provide unique opportunities to expand and improve cardiovascular patient care, enable new discoveries, and train the next generation of physicians and scientists at UAMS and its partner institutions.
The next UCVC Research Updates meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 7th @ 4:00 p.m. in Biomedical Research I, Room B300.
UCVC members are invited to attend the Joe Knight Bissett, M.D., Endowed Lectureship in Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Blase A. Carabello is the featured presenter. Dr. Carabello is a Professor of Medicine and Vice Chairman, Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. He is also the Director for Heart Valve Disease at Texas Heart Institute at St. Luke's. He will present "Valvular Heart Disease" on May 23, 2013 at 12 noon in Education II, Auditorium G141.
